PROJECT OVERVIEW / CONTEXT:
Represented here are my hand-drawn illustrations and graphic designs for the t-shirt design and publicity poster and for the musical “Wonderful Town” that depicts two women from the midwest in the 1930s discovering NYC for the first time. I studied 1930s fashion design to illustrate the type of clothing that style that these sisters from Ohio would wear in this period. This yellow t-shirt design features abstract, digital looking modern rectangles that are abstractions of the concept of NYC skyscraper window rectangles. This modern look was intended to look hip to the target audience of high school students.
